Women’s Ministry

Sisters in Christ

Women enjoy a safe space to support one another as sisters in Christ through the ups and downs of life. Church of Maumelle Women’s ministries give women the opportunity to study, pray, serve, and fellowship together. Women are spiritually refreshed through these ministries and empowered to share the love and wisdom of God with those around them.

Women of Faith

Women of Faith is a seasonal Bible study group for women meeting on Thursdays to discuss the Bible and go out for lunch afterward. The studies usually run 6 to 8 weeks. There are typically readings between class sessions. Occasionally there is a potluck or coffee gathering. Prayer concerns of the Church are also shared during class and via email between classes. This group is especially welcoming to newcomers and women who do not attend Church of Maumelle.

This group has studied Priscilla Shirer’s “Elijah, Faith, and Fire” and “Discerning the Voice of God”, Kelly Minter’s “What Love Is” and “Nehemiah”, “1 & 2 Peter” by Max Lucado, among others.

Church Chicks

Church Chicks is a women’s fellowship and no-homework Bible study group that meets on Sunday Mornings at 11:00 in Room A101. It’s composed of women of all ages, backgrounds and educational levels. All women are welcome to join in the study, the missions’ programs and the fellowship. The Chicks participate in Bunco, dining out, shopping, and a yearly overnight retreat.

The Chicks started with Genesis and In 2024 started an in-depth study of Job taught by Judy Brady. Kelley Thompson will teach Psalms next.
